RealFoundations’ Response to India’s Second Wave of Coronavirus Infection

May 2021 | COVID-19 Response

As many of you know, the surge of coronavirus cases in India continues to pose devastating impacts to the country’s economy as well as the health and safety of its citizens. As the daily positive rates continue to surpass 300,000, this second wave is overwhelming healthcare providers and hindering vaccination delivery for residents. According to S&P Global, “limited vaccination coverage and exposure to more infectious COVID variants may mean this infection wave peaks as late as June”.

RealFoundations’ leadership understands the continued effects of the pandemic and is doing everything possible to support our Chennai Center employees, and their families, during these difficult times. As such, we would like to share the additional measures we have put in place to prioritize the health and wellbeing of our employees in India and their families.

  • RealFoundations continues to provide each employee additional leave to support an employee recovering from COVID-19 or for an employee taking care of an immediate family member who contracts the virus.

  • We are enabling more frequent pay periods, in an effort to navigate the lockdown periods.

  • We are partnering with a general insurer to provide COVID-19 insurance coverage to our employees, allowing RF employees, and their spouses, to cover the costs of COVID-19 treatment expenses.

  • RealFoundations is strongly encouraging and will pay the cost for employees and their spouses to get vaccinated.

We will continue to follow our in-place continuity plans and reconfirm our commitment to minimizing the impacts to client delivery, to the best of our ability. If you have any questions or need further clarification on our commitment to supporting our employees and clients during these times, please contact us at +1 214 292 7000 for the U.S. or +44 (0)203 808 2137 for Europe.
